Christopher Bona is the chief communications officer for Ryerson (NYSE: RYI), an international company providing services for customers creating products from metal. The company is more than 172 years old, has several thousand employees and revenue of nearly $4 billion. The Communications function is responsible for global corporate communications, investment community and marketing communications. In addition to teaching at Purdue University's Brian Lamb School of Communication, Christopher is an adjunct faculty member for both The Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and DePaul University’s College of Communication, where he teaches a mix of business and communications courses.
He is active in several organizations including the Arthur W. Page Society, an association consisting primarily of chief communications officers of Fortune 500 corporations, the CEOs of the world’s largest public relations agencies, and leading academics from the nation’s top business and communications schools who have distinguished themselves teaching corporate communications. Christopher is also a member of the Executives Club of Chicago, the International Sociology Honor Society and the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. He is active with the National Investor Relations Institute and the Public Relations Society of America.
