Mike Kohler has been a business owner, business coach and communication consultant. He served as a communications executive for two of the largest U.S. broadband companies, with responsibility for all aspects of internal and external relations.
Stemming from his experience in the franchising world, Mike co-authored The Educated Franchisee, a guide for prospective entrepreneurs. He has held leadership roles with numerous nonprofit, government and professional boards of directors and currently serves as a business training consultant based in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Mike teaches graduate-level strategic communications courses at Purdue University’s Brian Lamb School of Communications, with prior adjunct teaching experience in electronic media management, entrepreneurship and internal brand communications. Mike earned his MBA and a Bachelor’s in Communications from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, where he was honored with Distinguished Service Awards from the College of Public Affairs and Community Service and the Department of Communication.
