Dr. David Paredes has been teaching courses on education technology, leadership and change since 2008. He has over 15 years of experience in the field of corporate learning and development and has held a variety of leadership positions in financial services and consulting. He has overseen the training component of several major organizational change initiatives including company acquisitions and system implementations. He earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Drexel University in 2011 where his dissertation studied the effects of constructivist instructional strategies on employees’ readiness for major organizational change. In addition to his Ph.D., he has undergraduate degrees in Theology and Philosophy and a graduate degree in Instructional Systems Design from Penn State. Dr. Paredes has a keen interest in studying individuals’ motivations for making radical personal changes and how this can stimulate creative thinking. Most recently, he was invited to speak on the topic of motivation and innovation at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia.
