Dr. Savage is currently a limited term lecturer in the Department of Educational Studies at Purdue University. She received her B.S. in Exercise Science from Morehead State University, her M.S. in Special Education (Mile and Intense Interventions) from Purdue University, and her Ph.D. in severe disabilities form Purdue University. Dr. Savage began her career in education instructing students with intense disabilities in functional academics, recreation/leisure skills, social skills, independent living skills, adapted PE skills, and vocational training. As a limited term lecturer for Purdue University Dr. Savage has functioned as instructor for Applied Behavior Analysis, Advanced Assistive Technology, Collaboration and Transition in Special Education, The Inclusive Classroom, Collaboration and Transition in Special Education. She has also supervised teacher education majors in their field placements. Dr. Savage is a noted author/co-author of several books, book chapters, manuscripts and peer-reviewed publications centering on education.
